Franny's Review of The Oh-so-great '04
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Went in a bar. A *gay* bar! *proud* . I enjoyed drinking alcohol. I tried to kill myself. I truly hated my mom and a whole lot of things that I can't think of.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions, nor do I break them.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Self-esteem.
7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 5. When my mom left with Gary (aka the French Jerk) for the first time. And many other events that were really important but that I can't remember the exact date.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Writing some suff that I'm actually proud of. Or... I dunno, I don't really feel self loving right now so it's not the best of times to ask such a thing.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I don't know. I don't have any expectation to begin with so* shrugs*
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had my body refusing to move under threat of an intolerable pain in my neck and back for a few days.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Every single issue of Newtype magasine 2004. All the mangas I bought. All the DVDs I bought. All the CDs I bought. My GLAM magasine. A lot of things....
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My dad's.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My mom, The American people for re-electing Bush, Michael Malloni, J.
14. Where did most of your money go?
DVD's, Mangas, books, CDs.

Finally getting to watch QaF.

Anything Glam Rock, Anything Placebo, Anything RHPS. And a many more.

c) richer or poorer? I own more things, but the money's the same since I spend it as soon as I receive it.

Writing.

Crying, feeling like shit.
20. How did you spent Christmas?
I stayed home and surfed the net on the 24th. Opened gifts on the 25th in the morning and went to my cousin's place at night to see my mother's family.

Too many

David Bowie, Placebo, Glam Rock in general, Velvet Underground, Hawksley Workman, Keane, Frantz Ferdinand and a lot more that I can't tink of.

Self-Esteem, peace of mind.

Velvet Goldmine, I know it didn't come out this year, but I watched it this year so yeah. My favorite movie that came out this year was PoA

I can't remember, mustn't have been very important. All I can remember from that day is that it's the day my mom got her car. A car that she bought in order to meet her lover. yay.

My mom not leaving us like she did.

The legalization of homosexual marriage in Canada. Gay marriage are now legal in Quebec ^-^*is proud of her province*

Stacy when she wasn't around, Jessy in the summer, My sister when she was always at Billy's. Billy when my sis and him had a break, My mom when she was in France, J since he was fired, M because he moved, Josée this summer my friends at the marching band since august.

Jonathan.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Don't take stability for granted, cuz your mom is gonna fall in love with another man and destroy your family and everything family-related that you believed in.
/sarcasm/*cheers* What a wonderful year I'm leaving behind. /sarcasm/
*sigh* anyway.
I saw an awesome flick the other day. It was called 'Family Portrait'. It's a very touching italian movie. It's about a woman whose loving husband dies. After the tragedy, when she sorts through his things, she finds a painting that belonged to him. On the back of the painting, a short yet touching text is adressed to her husband from his secret lover of seven years who signed as ' The Obvlivious Fairy'. Feeling betrayed, the woman does everything she can to find the woman her husband cheated on her with and to her surprise, she finds that the 'Oblivious Fairy' is in fact a young man. She meets the people surrounding this young man and discovers a world her husband was a part of and that she wasn't even aware of. From then on, the woman and the young man build a sort of friendship. Towards the end of the movie, I was truly affraid that they were going to end up together, because it would have really ruined it for me, it would have been horribly cliche, but they didn't. I recommend!

Gravitation is not *that* good. It's a great laugh and all, but if it wasn't shounen ai, I wouldn't even had laid my eyes on it. The anime has been rated one of the best romantic japanimation ever. WTF? What? Where's the romance? All I see is a whiny kid with a weird infatutation and amenattly messed up unsensitive jerk. Oh yeah, and a few giant panda androids. C'mon! What was tome 9 all about? What's with all these Americans? I didn't like K at first but slowly and in small doses he became one of my favourites but what's with Judy, Reiji, Ark and all those. Don't misunderstand me. I love Gravitation, it's a very good comic relief (what's with all these X and Hot Gimmick and She, the Ultimate Weapon and Tokyo Babylon and Evangelion volumes all around my room for me to angst over) and sure. I can't deny that Shuichi and Yuki can get kinda cute sometimes, but all in all it's just a crazier and Gay Urukyu. *shudder* Urukyu *shudder* Urukyu just might be the next worst thing after GALS. I don't have anything against GALS or Urukyu (hell, I *own* Urukyu) but it's just to girly girly shoujo for me I guess... Says the girl who loves Marmalade Boy... u.u; there was a heavy dose of angst in MB Okay!! u.u;;;;

I'm writing a Velvet Goldmine Jack Fairy-centred fanfiction for my short story English exam.

Fran: Erh... I just have a question about the exam.

Fran: I have an idea, but the main character of my idea is a character in a movie, but we only see him as a child and then as an adult and he only talks about two times in the movie and since the theme of the story is 'Turning Point' I'd like to describe what happened to him between childhood and adulthood. That's commonly called fanfiction on the internet.
Doris-sensei: o.o;;; *scratches her head* well I don't see anything wrong with that, write 'till your pen drops then Fannie.Oh but what movie is that?
Fran: Velvet Goldmine.
Doris-sensei: Velvet what?

Today, we played Hockey in Phys. Ed. The Polish exchage student was all:
Ana: Me never played Hockey. Is not our Sport in my country. I like snowboard^^
Fran: Yeah. ^^;;;

Random french speaking person watching a hockey game: Go les boys! Go! Go! Go! Score! C'Mon les boys! C'mon! Let's go les boys! Envoye! Goal! Score-moé ça c'te puck-là! C'mon score la puck dans l'net! Go!
So much for protecting the French language in Canada u.u;;;
The first snow fell on December first. I would have liked to take a picture of a landsape on November 30 (Happy birthday Dée-chan and you too, bitch... oops, did I really say BITCH cuz I meant MOM, honnest.) and a picture of the same landscape on December 2nd. No one would have ever belived it was only two days apart. It's very rare that the first snow is the snow that's going to stay all winter. Usually it snows, that it mealts, then it snows again, then it melts again and then it finally snows the day before chrismas and everybody's all "Omigod! I was so affraid there would be no snow for chrismas! I'm so realived!" but this year the first snow fell on december 1st and it's going to be the snow that will stay. First thing we'll know we'll be buried under the equivalent of our height in snow. Oh the joy of Canadian's winters.
And on to yet another subject matter.
I wrote the text taht is going to appear next to my picture in the yearbook. roughly trabslated, it says:
Selfishly, Fannie wonders if you will think about her after high school. Will you remember the laughers she laughed too loudly, the tears she didn’t cry enough? Will she remain to you ‘The girl who wore only black clothes’? Maybe you will never think about her again and it doesn’t matter very much. To those who made her feel good she says thanks and to the others she says good bye.
Short and sweet. It had to be less than 400 characters. i wish it could've been longer.
well I don't really have anything else to say I guess.
Oh yeah, Audrey Bergeron, PLEASE! do throw away that human bone you found in the woods, it's disgusting and scary and makes your locker smell horrible.

Bout of teenage angst (God, I'm so predictable)
Why is it that everyone's life is so uber cool and I'm like the epitome of boredom? I created myself an illusionary life of bliss out of fanfictions and books and movies and music and for the few short moments I land on Earth I shatter in thousands of sharp pieces because I spend so much time telling myself that I'm miserable that in the end I become a pityful mess self-hate and lament while everybody is living their life fully. And I live the illusion so completely that when I'm so exhausted that I finally come back to my sense I can do nothing but cry and claw at everything in reach, hoping to be heard but terrified of being confronted to reality.
And to quote Mandy from Velvet Goldmin, I live in terror of not being misunderstood. I seriously need someone to check my head and tell me that all these weird nonsenses are caused by insanity. God I want a specialist to tell me I'm crazy 'cuz there's always so much going on in my head that if it's normal then why hasn't the majority of the population already commited suicide? God, sometimes I wish I was dead so hard that my wrists hurt. Are they calling for a blade? I hope not, I'm such a coward I once was so close to the death I now await so patiently and just coldn't bring myself to do anything.
And sometimes i feel like such a fucking waste of space and the next moment I feel as exalted as I could ever be, crying with joy and smiling trutfully. I can't take the violent mood swings. But then if everybody on the face of this fucking planet hates me so damn much maybe I was wrong all along. Wrong to convince myself futilely that they were stupid for hating me. Maybe there is a reason that provokes all this hate and indifference and maybe I'm the only stupid blind person that can't see it. Then maybe I should hate myself at least as much as they do? Or maybe I already surpassed their hate for my hate of myself seems to be growing a little bit everyday.
God i want it to stop. Why can't i just stop thinking. I want to take a pill that will make me sleep for a year. Or a pill that will shut my brain down so my head doesn't hurts so bloody much all the time.

But then they all coaxe me into this 'society' thing which I grew to enjoy. Quite a lot in fact.
But then what?? Then they push me away and spit at me while I rot in my own miserable loneliness, laughing all the while because *yes* they made me addict their presence?

How to make the cat think you're his #1 Enemy in 10 easy steps
(or FM's guide to chase summer boredom)
Step 1: Take a stupid cat. (Fran gladly offers hers if you can't find any *hands Bibi to random passer by*)
Step 2: If said stupid animal had a trauma as a baby kitty, all the better! (Bibi had a ballon explode in his face when he was young, ha has been scared of anything round-shaped since then)
Step 3: If said stupid animal had a trauma involving preys problem, all the better! ( Bibi was attacked by a dozen of birds after he kill a baby bird 3 years ago. He has been scared of birds since then.)
Step 4: If said stupid animal is horribly jealous of a newer pet, (namely, Sissy, the hyper poogle) all the better! (Bibi has been going through depression since this newest addition to the family)
Step 5: The action begins now! Take every chances you,ve got to make him jump. A good 'boo' can make a cat jump at least 2 feet in the air! (The look on Bibi's face is priceless eh ^^;)
Step 6: Give some of his food to the dog. He'll be positively pissed.
Step 7: Let him run away, but don't let him back into the house when he mewls loudly at night to come back.
Step 8: 'accidentally' drop too much perfume powder in his sandbox.
Step 9: Make him affraid of his food. (it may sounds hard but it's quite easy)
Step 10: MAKE IT UP TO HIM!!! <3>
Don't feel like talking about Pohénégamook, I'll just mention that I took a pretty bad Bike fall, spotted Bllatrix and Sirius on a star chart and decided to quit the marching band. It'll be official on August 10. I hope mik-mik-kun isn't going to be too sad ;-;

Today was calm. The highlight of the day sure was when my sister spelled 'sperm' while playing Scrabble with Billy (her boyfriend) and mom. *stern face*

I mean, sure I had a blast last year and the year before that, but I just get weird feelings whenever I'm at the marching band practices... I should have quit when Hubert-Kun quit... I miss him so terribly. I've been meaning to e-mail him, but it seems he's slipping out of my reach. He was the only true friend I had the other are either very shallow girls or 10 years old... *sigh* And why the hell should I have to expose myself in bathing suit in front of my favourite Hobbit replica... (aka Raphael, the stern marching band leader)

Since I bought LotR-RotK on DVD, I decided to watch it yesterday night... or should I say this morning? yeah, I began to watch this 3 hour and a half monster at two thirdy... and I watched it all... plus the special features... When dad got up I was still watchin g TV... anyway ^^;;; re-watching the masterpiece left a craving for LotR slash... and surprisingly, it wasn't slash of the Sam/Frodo like, but rather Merry/Pippin, which is odd because i never really liked this pairing, but in the movie, they had a lot of moment (When Pippin leaves with Gandalf:"You're coming with me aren't you?" "You smoke too much, Pippin" "*panicky* We're going to see each other again won't we?" "I don't know..." After the battle of Minas Tirith, when Pippin finds Merry: "Are you going to leave me here?" "I'm going to take care of you..." )
Jessy tried to call again, but at was at work... but he told dad to tell me that everything was clear, which calmed my worries *relieved sigh* I hope you are having a blast at Ste-Hyacinthe Sweetie.
